wool sling

here is my latest woolen sling, made with 6 lengths of italian wool. standard 3 strand braid with an extra strand added to make the woven split pouch. i miscalculated the strand length on the pouch so i had to splice in a few extra feet on each side to gain the necessary length.

when making wool slings, i keep my fingers wetted, or even better wait until theyre sticky from sweating, and that makes it much easier to twist each strand tightly before it goes into the braid.
